ABSTRACT
In this chapter, the fundamental equations and analysis of problems involving conduction heat transfer will be considered. Heat conduction is a transport process that arises in both single and multiphase systems. For example, heat transfer by conduction occurs at the phase interface (solid/ liquid or liquid/vapor) of two-phase flows. In this chapter, both onedimensional and two-dimensional problems, including steady and transient conditions, will be examined.
