ABSTRACT
Pupa exarate, glabrous; anterior prothorax with 1 pair of elongate, sclerotized filiform projections; abdomen tapers to 1 pair of sclerotized urogomphi, posterior borders of segments 17 sclerotized.
As with many of the aquatic byrrhoids, most of the descriptive morphology concerns just the adults. However, the larvae are well described by Brown (1991), and Costa et al. (1996) describe larvae and pupae.
