ABSTRACT
This chapter examines some of the basics concerning vehicular acceleration and deceleration. One type of deceleration, skidding, has already been discussed in some detail in a previous chapter. This chapter is broader in scope, and discusses the theoretical underpinnings that affect vehicle response and performance.
