ABSTRACT
The brain and the spinal cord are covered by three membranes, the meninges, that provide protection to the neural tissue. A “folding” in the meninges forms what is known as the cerebellar tentorium, which separates the cerebellum from the basal surface of the occipital and temporal lobes. The tentorium is schematically shown in Figure 9.2 enclosed in dashed circles.
