ABSTRACT
This chapter summarizes some of the key considerations with respect to materials and system design for DMFCs. Overall, DMFC performance is rapidly approaching the level where it will become a commercially viable alternative to H
/O
systems in certain applications. However, unlike the situation with the H
PEMFC, the DMFC stack and system are still at an early development stage.
