ABSTRACT
The incentive for stationary power generation by fuel cells is quite different from that for the automotive fuel cell and other applications. As a result of the growing liberalization of the national and international power markets, generating electric power has become a difficult, highly competitive business. The single most important consideration for a commercial power generator or a utility is how to maximize the amount of electricity made out of a certain plant and a certain quantity of fossil or other fuel.
