ABSTRACT
Dilute formalin 39% in distilled water three times to obtain formalin 10%. Then neutralize with saturated calcium carbonate.
Verify with pH paper (pH 7).

Neutral formalin has multiple uses. It can be advantageously replaced with buffered formalin.
