Eye Health

Over 161 million people are visually impaired in the world today, 37 million of whom are blind [1]. Visual impairment is not distributed equally: most people affected are older and they are more likely to be women. Over 90% of visually impaired people live in low or middle-income countries. Eye health is a pressing problem.
