ABSTRACT

Many skills are required to become an effective, driving, multitasking protective agent. These skills are undervalued by the philosophy of “keeping it between the ditches,” which can lead one to believe that all a driver must do is drive like everyone else on the road-talking on the telephone, listening to a CD or the radio, reading a newspaper (or map directions), or perhaps eating a donut and drinking a cup of coffee. In actuality, driving is only a small portion of the overall responsibilities of a “driver.”
