ABSTRACT
Among various kinds of bridging phenomena, blockage of storage vessels is dealt with here. It causes stoppage of solids flow and thus leads to unstable operation of powder handling processes, shortages of production capacity, and degradation of product quality. It is one of the serious problems in the operation of storage and supply, including breakage of vessels, unpredictable discharge rate of solids, nonuniform residence time and distribution of particles, and segregation of solids mixtures.
