ABSTRACT
A major goal of medicolegal death investigation is to ensure that no laws have been broken regarding the death of an individual person, and if they have, that complete information is obtained that can be used to bring violators of the law to justice, and even if no laws have been broken, to evaluate whether the cause of death poses any risk to the public.
