ABSTRACT
Spreading the understanding of the strategy throughout the organization is best done by focusing on goals to be achieved, usually called
strategic objectives
. The communication of primary elements of the
strategic vision
should provide a background and rationale for the strategic objectives, answering the following question: “Why is this objective important?” The assessment of the current situation, as discussed in Chapter 6, provides a basis for knowing what to work on operationally in areas like today’s technology or marketing systems.
