ABSTRACT
Labetalol hydrochloride is an alpha-adrenergic blocker/betaadrenergic blocker that selectively blocks alpha-1 receptors and nonselectively blocks beta receptors to decrease BP, heart rate, and myocardial oxygen demand. It is indicated in the management of hypertension.
