ABSTRACT
Th is chapter focuses on design and development of a lean enterprise Web-based information system (LEWIS). It is based on the overall system framework for multiconstraint planning and control. Th e aim is to develop a system that would serve as a
backbone information infrastructure for supply chain integration, where information regarding construction products, processes, resources, and documentation could be integrated. Th e system can accommodate the statuses and problems from project supply chain. In turn, the system has the ability to perform look-ahead analysis, query constraint information, and generate a workable backlog for weekly work planning at the work face.
