ABSTRACT
The task of verifying that a microprocessor implementation conforms to its specification across various levels of design hierarchy is a major part of the microprocessor design process. Design verification is a complex process which involves a number of levels of abstraction (e.g., architectural, RTL, and gate), several aspects of design (e.g., timing, speed, functionality, and power), as well as different design styles.
