ABSTRACT
Substrates and circuit boards are used in virtually every electronic assembly. There were many changes in circuit board standards and accepted practices in the last part of the 1990s. Included are:
• Release of IPC-2221, "Generic Standard on Printed Board Design," and IPC-2222, "Sectional Design Standard for Rigid Organic Boards." These replace the older IPC-D-275 standard on circuit boards.
