ABSTRACT
Although the term inter is normally used to reference or describe the flow of data between devices, this author has taken the liberty to expand upon its meaning. In this chapter we will use the term inter-vehicle communications to describe the flow of communications between vehicles as well as from a vehicle to sensors or transponders located on a highway, road, or street that is used by a vehicle.
