ABSTRACT
Non-functional test planning and execution is a challenge. Planning your scope, executing your tests, and interpreting results are tasks that require a delicate balance of business understanding, technical expertise, and objectivity. Whereas functional testing can be reliably mapped to functional requirements, non-functional test scope is derived from a usage model that is an approximation of how the system will be used.
