ABSTRACT
Chemical hazards have been addressed in Chapter 8 with regard to their impact upon the workplace and its workforce. Chapter 8 speaks in some detail of the health effects of hazardous or toxic (poisonous) chemicals. Chapter 9 provides information on the means by which chemicals enter the body, the exposure guidelines, and the forms in which chemicals present themselves to the body as contaminants. Also, the chapter lists the categories of chemicals that most often are seen in the workplace and also describes why based upon their composition they may pose a hazard.
