ABSTRACT
Only in recent years have industries become interested in ergonomics or at least acknowledged the existence of this new field. Because the infrastructure service sector is similar to the construction sector in many ways, the worker would face many of the same ergonomic issues. Although most operations recognize the large numbers of back-related injuries, few, if any, associate work activities with other common cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs).
