ABSTRACT
The use of scaffolds, as tools for working at varied levels on work sites, is a standard practice in industry. Unfortunately, there have been many accidents involving scaffolding. Some scaffolding have collapsed because of improper erection, some have fallen because the scaffolding could not support the loads placed on it, and some have been improperly used because of lack of knowledge, or lack of proper training regarding the use of scaffolds. Scaffolds are one of the leading causes or contributors to construction fall fatalities. Theymust be designed by a qualified person and be constructed and loaded in accordance with that design by trained workers.
