ABSTRACT

The previous chapters have described the basic ways that electromagnetic (EM) waves interact with the body and some of the applications that demonstrate those specific principles. This chapter will discuss the overall potential and challenges for bioelectromagnetics in medicine and provide a brief survey of the major technologies that are in use today and how they utilize the basic principles from the previous chapters. At the end of the chapter we will discuss the emerging technologies that are pushing the forefront of bioelectromagnetics.
