ABSTRACT
While linear programming has found numerous practical applications, the assumptions o f proportionality, additivity, and other forms o f nonlinearity are common in many engineering applications. Most often the sources of nonlinearity are the physical process and the associated engineering prin ciples that are not amenable to linearization. Even though there are linear ization schemes, they are subject to large errors in representing the phenomenon.
