ABSTRACT
A fundamental task in science and technology is modeling a PROPERTY y by one or several VARIABLES x. The property is considered as the interesting fact of a system, but often cannot be determined directly or only with high cost; in contrary the x-data are often easily available but not the primary aim of an investigation.
