ABSTRACT
Writing a book for a diverse audience represents a trade-off. If the author assumes each reader is well versed in the fundamentals of the subject, some readers new to the field may be literally left at the starting gate. If the author assumes that readers are not well versed in the fundamentals of the subject and they are, a large number of readers may be bored by a review of what they consider to represent trivial material.
