ABSTRACT
Often when researchers address the issue of male victimization and female offending, they are accused, as I have been on a number of occasions, of caring more about male victims than female victims and of having a hidden agenda (Dutton, 2006). The hidden agenda, as some advocates will claim, is the issue of gender symmetry concerning domestic violence offending and victimization.
