ABSTRACT
Each year on December 31 on its editorial page, the Boston Globe lists the names of people who have died that year as a result of domestic violence. In the December 31, 2006, “In Memoriam” editorial, the executive director of the Massachusetts Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Agency reported that Jane Doe, Inc., had issued its first Massachusetts report reviewing domestic violence homicide cases (Lauby, McCarthy, Meade, and White, 2006).
