ABSTRACT
In 1949, Claude Shannon defined two properties necessary for se-
cure cryptosystem design [283]:
1. Confusion of the relationship between the plaintext, the ci-
phertext, and the key.
2. Diffusion of the influence of one plaintext or key symbol over
as many ciphertext symbols as possible.
