ABSTRACT

Various regimes and geometric factors play an important role in the development of physical explanations when a boiling heat transfer crisis occurs in restricted spaces.

The application of conventional models of heat transfer crisis represents the simplest way of resolving such a problem. Prof. Kutateladze [266, 268] developed a known correlation of the hydrodynamic theory of boiling crisis with the accuracy of one empirical constant basing on explanations of the hydrodynamic nature of the crisis and using both the similarity between the boiling and barbotage processes and the dimensional approach.
