Overview of Issues and Concerns On September 11, 2001, the world was engaged in trade. Supply lines were for the most part open and running smoothly. The big issue for supply chain executives was establishing cost-effective purchasing, logistics, and operations. Disruption from a terrorist threat was not a proactive thought.
