ABSTRACT
One way to defi ne mobility is by saying that it is about going from place A to place B. It also means being away from somewhere, such as home. ese are, however, simplifi ed pictures of mobility. People have diff erent motivations for moving around, and while on the move they also may stop and seek a quiet spot in which to do their activities. Location also has diff erent meanings for people in diff erent situations-and the perceptions of location and time are diff erent in diff erent cultures and may change over time.
