ABSTRACT
A plethora of competing and o en confl icting buzzwords and catchphrases surround and obfuscate the overall ambient intelligence evolution: ubiquitous/pervasive/proactive computing, Internet of things, smart spaces, invisible/disappearing computer, to cite only a few. is may obscure the fact that, beyond the hype, a singular and sweeping (r)evolution of information and communication technology is currently taking place.
