ABSTRACT
This chapter is designed to give a short overview of the chemistry of gold with particular, but not exclusive, emphasis on recent developments. There are a number of monographs [1,2], reviews [3,4], and a recent special issue of Chemical Society Reviews [5] that give much more comprehensive coverage to this topic. The interested reader will nd greater detail in these sources.
