ABSTRACT

Critical infrastructure (CI) is so important, so fundamental, that most people take it for granted. This is the irony of CI. It has always been there during our lifetime and it has rarely failed us. And when it did fail, it was not for long. It has been designed to be so dependable that we tend to assume it in our equations around the resiliency of our lives, lifestyles, and businesses. CI is a given; it is an assumption.
