ABSTRACT

Since this chapter deals with lots of statistics, the translation of statistical observations into anecdotal analysis has been done wherever possible. It is of great interest to a few people, but possibly contains too many complex details for some readers. For these readers, the conclusion is recommended. The following pages take an in-depth look into the economic relationships between different industries designated as critical infrastructure (CI) within Canada and the United States and how these relationships impact the nature of CI and the interdependencies among CI sectors.
