The.book.was.written.to.provide.information.that.is.useful.to.plan.and.conduct.a. Kaizen.event..In.addition,.data.collection.and.analysis.templates.have.been.used. throughout.the.book.to.enable.a.Kaizen.team.to.immediately.begin.their.process. improvement.activities.. It. is.my.opinion. that. effective. and. sustainable.organizational.change.can.be.accomplished.by.applying.the.proven.principles.found.in.this. book..This.book.has. also.been.written. in.a.modular. format. so. that.people.who. are.familiar.with.Lean.tools.and.methods.can.skip.several.chapters..In.this.way,. the.book.should.enable.a.Kaizen.team.to. immediately.begin.planning.and.then. conducting.a.Kaizen.event,.and.in.a.systematic.manner.that.is.also.clearly.aligned. with.organizational.goals.and.objectives..In.this.context,.Kaizen.events.and.their. projects.must.be.planned.and.executed.and.their.solutions.implemented.with.the. support.of.process.owners.and.local.work.teams.
