Aspects of Error Propagation in Modern Geodetic Networks

In geodesy we produce and manage highly precise coordinate data. Traditionally we do this by successive, controlled propagations of precise measurements down a hierarchy of progressively more localized and detailed network densifications: working “from the large to the small.”
