ABSTRACT
The Top Component of the WBS Just as a reminder, the PBS is the top component of the WBS (Figure 6.1). It represents the deliverables of the project.
During Step 2, you will be taking the Post-Its® developed during Step 1 and “building” the PBS. There are two formats for a PBS: (1) an organizational chart format and (2) an outline format. The organizational chart format (Figure 6.2) provides the best visual format and one quickly grasped by a new viewer, while the outline format (Figure 6.3) is a textual version of a PBS, which most people learned about in eighth-grade English class.
