Step 1 We can use the case study to practice. Your assignment of this special event happens very simply in a note from your boss (Figure 18.1a). This note is all you have to start the project. Your boss is the head of research and he wants you to plan a one-day recognition event. Let’s circle the deliverables he has described thus far (Figure 18.1b). There is not much here, but it is a beginning.
