ABSTRACT

Most Fortune 500 companies are using compliance architectures to aid their compliance efforts. Compliance architecture aligns regulatory drivers, covered in Chapter 4, with compliance frameworks, covered in Chapter 1, and enables the enterprise to implement automated controls to address regulatory mandates interpreted through the chosen compliance framework. In an Oracle context, automated controls take the form of applications, middleware, or embedded database control mechanisms designed to enforce confidentiality, integrity, availability, and operational transparency and report on their effectiveness.
