ABSTRACT
MacArthur, Robert Helmer (1930-1972) American ecologist MacArthur was born at Toronto in Canada, but moved to America in 1947. He was educated at Brown University and Yale where he obtained his PhD in 1958. He taught initially at the University of Pennsylvania from 1958 until 1965 when he joined the Princeton faculty as professor of biology from 1968.
