ABSTRACT
Recently, fabrication of nanowire devices using the “bottom up” approach has been demonstrated experimentally (Cui and Lieber 2001, Duan et al. 2001, Huang et al. 2001b). In these experiments, nanowires were put on top of nanowires so that electrical contacts could be formed between some of the wires.
