ABSTRACT
Carbon foams have been prepared by several di£erent methods, using di£erent precursors, and the properties of the resulting material will be strongly dependent on both the production method and the carbon source. Most of the carbon foam preparation methods are based on two basic steps: pyrolysis and carbonization.
