ABSTRACT

Printing holds a particular attraction as a potential manufacturing method because it is scalable, has good throughput, and short design-to-production turnaround time. It is also an

additive processing method in which the material is placed exactly where it is required. ™is provides a fundamentally more eÀcient use of materials, which simplišes manufacturing steps and is potentially more environmentally friendly. More crucially, printed electronics permits the use of new “so¥” electronic materials such as molecules, polymers, and nano-materials on large-area and °exible substrates for the creation of electronics and products that transcend traditional boundaries.
