ABSTRACT
Several assays for investigating immunotoxicity are described, but there continues to be a debate about which tests should be used and when (see some of the numerous papers concerning strategies for immunotoxicity testing). There is no doubt that this science will evolve in the next decade given the increasing use of vaccines and biological agents, and a clearer picture will emerge with assays that are sufciently robust for wider use.
