ABSTRACT
Measurable SCM improvement requires models that help define levels of performance. Section 5.2 describes a maturity model that tracks deployment of project management processes. The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals’ (CSCMP) Supply Chain Management Process Standards (Process Standards) described in Section 8.2 are another tool that fits the maturity model category. The Process Standards are notable for the extensiveness of their model-six volumes and hundreds of best practices for assessing the organization’s supply chain processes.
