ABSTRACT

Attitude What is an attitude? “Attitudes are usually defined as a disposition or tendency to respond positively or negatively towards a certain thing (idea, object, person, situation). They encompass, or are closely related to, our opinions and beliefs and are based on our experiences.”1 Often when I was concerned with the attitudes of leaders who worked for me, I asked them about their past and for whom they had worked. Usually I discovered that their experiences and the examples that the people who they worked for were responsible for their attitudes and leadership styles. Learning this, I was able to work with them to reshape some of their attitudes.
