ABSTRACT

Contemporary men would no doubt laugh at the pursuit of the past for the desire to live forever. So, no one would suspect the accuracy of the prediction that every person will die sooner or later. However, why each person has to die or the cause of death has not been addressed scientifically. Although modern science has been in operation for over 300 years, other than the very few scholars of the 20th century (Bergson, 1963; Koyré, 1968; Prigogine, 1980; OuYang et al., 2001a), there does not seem to be anyone else who noticed that modern science is a “science” that is about invariant materials. Even as of this writing, very few people are questioning why modern science cannot explain the physical reason for why people have to die and why modern science limits the concepts of evolution to those of extraordinarily large scales as geological ages or the astronomical times. is end only indicates that the system of modern science does not involve investigations of evolutions of materials; otherwise, there would not be such a need to limit evolutions to extraordinary long-time scales that produce no practical and theoretical significance.
