ABSTRACT
In Chapter 3, we assumed the extent of reaction or the conversion to be given, but except for the cases where we assumed chemical equilibrium, we didn’t say anything about how it could be determined. To do this, we need a kinetic expression for the reaction rate and details about the reactor. This is the field of chemical reaction engineering considered in this chapter.
