ABSTRACT
Nature is awash with many bacteriologically dominated consorms, particularly in water-saturated reductive regions where bacteria dominate to the exclusion of virtually all eukaryotic life. This is because the bacteria under such conditions can function anaerobically (without oxygen) or generate sufficient electricity to cause the releases of oxygen from the water by electrolysis. Clearly the geological crust of Earth is electrically active from geomagnetic interpolar radiation.
